It’s the last day of school, so I’m sure there will be many, many mornings like this to come:

I woke up to find both Rerun and Thumper in bed with me.  When I got up, Thumper just sliiiiiiiiid right on over into my spot.

Joke’s on them, camp and new therapy schedules start in ONE WEEK!

The last day of school is almost upon us (Monday), and then we will have our annual tradition of books and lunch as soon as everyone gets home from school.

Wait, not lunch.  Not this year.  This year, the last day of school is a full day, so we will be eating an early dinner instead.

But Tad has already said, “I can’t WAIT for my new books!”  (I think he went snooping and found one or two.)

So, here’s how this has looked in years past… I first started the book tradition in 2015.

How on earth is this cute boy old enough to be finishing kindergarten???

All the kindergarten classes had a picnic at the sports field next door, and families could bring siblings (obviously, older ones are in school, but little ones could come) and food.  I stopped for some Chick-fil-A and Thumper got my fries, which thrilled him immensely (he loves him some waffle fries).

After lunch, the kids played games and chased after balls and bubbles.  Thumper, being Thumper, would have rather had my phone to play with, but I made him play catch instead.

*sniff* My baby is finishing kindergarten!!!

Rerun’s Galileo presentation went a little differently than I expected.  I thought he would get up and give a quick presentation, using the slide show he made, in front of the class.  That’s what the Webmaster was ready to film.

Instead, the desks were all set up with Chromebooks, playing the slide shows, with their biography bottles set up next to them.

(Apologies for the blurry picture, the Webmaster’s phone wasn’t focusing on faces, apparently.)

The Webmaster said that Galileo was among the “higher quality” of the biography bottles (there was one Elvis Presley one that was pretty impressive), and now Galileo is proudly displayed on our kitchen table.
