With the cousins here for Halloween as well, Auntie did us all a solid and brought Obachan home with her, after work, on Halloween.  Her school isn’t too far from Obachan’s senior living facility, and that did make it easier for all of us.

Which means that we got our annual picture with her!

Because Rerun was so committed to his costume, he didn’t take off his mask except to eat pizza for dinner.  And Tad, of course, looked very different.  When Obachan saw Ane – and could see her face clearly, she joked, “Well, at least I know who YOU are.”

That is a lot of silver color wax in Tad’s hair (and on his eyebrows), plus fake mustache.  He loved how he looked, but complained that his hair was “stiff and itchy” off and on all evening.  But it washed out very easily (as advertised), so it was really easy to use!

When Halloween falls on a school day, it’s always smarter to NOT wear your real costume to school.  Most of the time, it would be too complicated to wear, and schools have rules about masks.

So Tad just wore his Halloween Garfield T-shirt, and tossed on his headband and shark fin from last year.

And Rerun wore a costume T-shirt (with novelty glasses) and Thumper wore pajamas.  I also added a little makeup to Rerun’s forehead.  After all, it isn’t every day you send Harry Potter and Darth Vader to school.

Quick and easy!  But just wait until you see the actual costumes we went trick-or-treating in….

Yes, this ended up being a lot later than we usually carve our pumpkins.  On the up side, they had no time to get moldy before Halloween!
