The sun was shining so brightly yesterday, and I owed Ane coffee.  Let’s call it a bribe to help her brothers with their Google Slide presentations.

There are many things that Mom does well – composing Google Slides is not one of them.  I am happy to help with ideas and what needs to go on a slide, but the technical stuff I leave to Ane.  Plus, she’s teaching Rerun how to animate things on his Slides.

So Tad, Thumper and I walked over to the coffee stand to get her a coffee.  I carried her iced coffee back, while Tad drank a creamscicle (basically an orange juice Italian soda), and Thumper had an ice water.

So long as he has water, and the battery on the iPod doesn’t run low, Thumper is always up for a walk around the neighborhood!

Rerun was working on his online music lesson – which was a very practical lesson about identifying instruments – when Thumper came running.

Why? Because the trombone demonstrated its sound by playing the Star Wars main theme.

Let’s just say that big brother was very happy to let little brother join in for this lesson!

Online school, anyway.

The kids are in the final stretch – only a couple more weeks to go! – but the tedium has really begun to pull on us all.

And there has been screen burnout, so Tad’s math teacher actually started emailing me worksheets and assigning him math from his workbooks instead of having him do online lessons.

I just keep muttering to myself “we WILL survive this” over and over.  I think we just might.

But Thumper did lose ANOTHER tooth.

That bottom left lateral incisor had been loose for a long time, but it was very tightly wedged into position.  It finally got so loose that one good yank (and yell) got it out.

That is the fourth tooth Thumper has lost since the lockdown started, if you were trying to keep track.  But can you see one of those upper central incisiors starting to appear???
