Thumper Finds Himself

3:00pm

… in the school yearbook, anyway.

All of the kids have had to drop off or pick up materials at their respective schools over the last couple of days.  Rerun had one class library book to drop off, Tad had a couple of library books to drop off, and Ane dropped off textbooks.  Neither Ane nor Tad had anything to pick up at school, as Tad took everything out of his school cubby and Ane took everything out of her locker before they were all sent home in March.  However, both Rerun and Thumper picked up the contents of their desks, and both got their school yearbooks.

The elementary schools managed to get their yearbooks out on time because they were paperback.  Ane’s and Tad’s yearbooks, being bigger and in color and hardcover, are delayed until probably early August at best.

Thumper really wanted to get out of the car as we drove by his school and saw all of his teachers in person – they were all outside, handing out materials (and wearing masks, which confused Thumper) – but we had to stay in the car this time.  Poor kid, this entire season has been so confusing for him.

The Final Sprint

3:40pm

We’re in the home stretch, people!!!

The number of days of school left can be counted on ONE hand.  We are now just trying to finish up the last projects that are due.

For Ane, that means a video in Japanese and the English paper that she did yesterday.

For Tad, that means uploading his last cartoon, and finishing his science slideshow and his history slideshow.

For Rerun, that means finishing one last slideshow on exercise being good for you.

For Thumper, that means a handwriting sample, some math, and one more reading aloud video.

WE’RE GOING TO DO THIS.

Rerun Lifts

5:28pm

“Mom, I need hand weights for my PE lesson!”

At least he’s enthusiastic about his specialist (library, music, PE) lessons…

Flashback Friday

5:18am

Father’s Day is just around the corner, and while we are slogging through the last days of school, it’s nice to look back on happy moments when we could gather together without major worries about spreading viruses…

Here was the Webmaster on Father’s Day 2013, with Ane and baby Thumper:

And here they all were in 2014.  It’s hard to imagine that this was almost six years ago:

At least, until you consider just how tall Ane and Tad have gotten!
