I’m Just A Passenger On This Ride Of AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH

10:38pm

Ane, up to this point, had only driven the Webmaster’s commuter car, the Ford Fiesta.  Now, it was time to try out the Honda Odyssey minivan – the Mom-mobile.

I warned her that it would be a different experience than the Fiesta, but that I think the minivan is actually a smoother drive and easier to handle.

Verdict?

“I think I like driving the van better!”

Also…

“Mom, you’re a lot more chill than I thought you would be.”

Auntie (when she hears this): “Yeah, that’s because you practiced on ME!”

And Now It’s Rerun’s Turn

11:34am

And just when you think “hey, maybe Rerun will avoid this one”… he throws up.  Which is something his brothers did NOT do, but whatever this bug is, it is not fun.

However, Tad went back to school today, and Rerun is keeping food down and in very cheery spirits because he has all the healing powers of Wolverine, so nothing keeps him down long.

In fact, he’s doing SO well that he’s going to finish up all that math homework that he was in no shape to tackle last night.  After all, what else does he have to do today?

Tad Takes A Day

3:30pm

A sick day, that is.  I don’t know if this is the same thing Ane had almost two weeks ago (? could it incubate that long?) but Thumper was definitely not well over the weekend (and stayed home from church on Sunday), and Tad was pretty miserable Monday night, so no school today.

Hopefully, a day of rest and a viewing of “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” will be the cure he needs.

She Has A Permit!!!

9:25pm

BUCKLE UP, EVERYONE.

Ane started driver’s ed this last weekend, and got her learner’s permit during the week.  She’s now legal to be on the road.

The Webmaster has had her out practicing in parking lots, but as soon as her permit was a done deal, they began driving on the roads.

Yesterday, she drove the car to church.  This horrified Tad (though the picture is posed).  When we told him that Ane would be driving, he yelled “ARE YOU BLIND???”

Practice is necessary, and we are all in for this ride.

Yes, we now have a driving teenager, God help us all.
