Yes, Ane is headed to Maui to stay with her friend Lisa and her family.  She actually gets to fly to Maui with the family on Sunday, as they have been here visiting.  We will be seeing them at the baseball game tonight – and we’ve done this before with them!

Here are the girls from five years ago, when Lisa and her family were visiting and we met up at a game.

And when Lisa stayed with us for a weekend last summer, we took her to a baseball game then, too!

Tonight will be a fireworks show after the game – here’s hoping the game itself will be a good one!

There is no swim camp this week, so Ane was free to pick up a couple of teaching shifts at the pool.  She happened to be teaching while Tad and Rerun were there for their regular swimming lessons tonight.  Here she is between lessons…

The boys really wanted her attention, which she couldn’t give them while teaching.  We did tell her that it would be unprofessional to smack her brothers while she is on the job.

Ane leaves on Sunday for her trip to Maui to stay with her friend Lisa and her family for a week and a half… time to spend some of that money that she’s earned!  I told her she might want to bring back some chocolate-covered macadamia nuts for her boss.  It never hurts to bring back treats to work…

That would be an outfield wall, complete with foul poles, painted on the walls of the bedroom.  The rest of the room is the same blue as is painted above the outfield wall.  We’ll be decorating it up to be a really fun baseball room for Rerun and Thumper, who will be moving in here and sharing the bunk bed.

And just look at that floor!  Gichan is cleaning it and sanding it, and will apply a protective sealer to it at the end.

Rerun is getting really excited about the new digs, plus getting to be on the top bunk!  Thumper will enjoy sleeping in a twin-sized bed, since he is right on the verge of outgrowing the toddler bed.  Depending on how long the floor takes, they might be able to move in sometime next week…

When you leave Auntie keys to the house, she really gets a move on.

The Webmaster and I repainted the ceiling on Friday night, then Auntie started taping off the walls while I was priming spots on Sunday.

Then while I was away on Monday, she and Gichan started painting.

This room – the now former master bedroom – hasn’t been painted since Ane was a baby, and boy, it’s going to look different!
